Testing + Dual Enrollment

Testing

All students in Grades 9 through 12 have the opportunity to take the weekday ACT twice a year.

2025 - 2026 School Year Dates:

  • October 28th, 2025
  • March 23rd, 2026

Dual Enrollment

Students in 10th through 12th grades can earn college credit through a partnership with the University of Louisiana-Monroe.  They can also take several different technical courses from the local junior college, Delta Community College.

Students taking full advantage of these courses can graduate with up to 27 hours of college credit.

Students who are interested in taking dual enrollment classes at ULM need to meet the following criteria:

  • Be on schedule to achieve the Louisiana Core 4 curriculum.
  • Minimum 2.5 OVERALL high school GPA  
  • Have achieved the minimum ACT score required for the course they wish to enroll in. (varies from course to course)
  • Additionally, students must be fully admitted to ULM before enrolling, and meet any necessary course prerequisites to enroll in DE courses.

  • Medical Terminology 2000 (PREREQ - ACT Math 19)
  • English Composition 1001 (PREREQ - ACT English 18 and completion of English III - FALL ONLY)
  • English Composition 1002 (PREREQ - ACT English 18 and grade of ā€œCā€ or better in Eng 1001 - SPRING ONLY)
  • Western Civilization 1011 (PREREQ - ACT English 18 - FALL ONLY)
  • Western Civilization 1012 (PREREQ - ACT English 18 - SPRING ONLY)
  • College Algebra 1011 (PREREQ - ACT Math 19 - FALL ONLY and completion of Algebra II with a ā€œCā€ or better)
  • Trigonometry 1012 (PREREQ - ACT Math 19 - SPRING ONLY)
  • Introduction to Psychology 2001 (PREREQ - ACT English 18 - FALL ONLY)
  • Introduction to Sociology 1001 (PREREQ - ACT English - SPRING ONLY)
